NEWS
Greetings! We hope you are dealing fine with the little cold snap we are experiencing in the Northeast.

Just a quick update from the world of Turbine. The guys are back from a quick Mid-Atlantic weekend and had a great time with the cool peeps in Charleston, WV, Boone, NC and Richmond, VA before heading back to start the Nectar\’s residency. The rest of October will be spent closer to home, working the Burlington Monday night residency at Nectar\’s, the Mass. Pioneer Valley and returning to towns throughout the Northeast. Blue Light City has held strong at #3 in the RELIX / Jambands radio charts and continues to turn people on to what you readers already know– that this is a great band! We hope you will join us in spreading the word and could use your help in some more concrete ways– specifically, putting up posters, handing out fliers at other shows and helping to sell merch at Turbine shows. If you are interested in helping out, please email propellers@turbinemusic.com and we\’ll hook you up with what you need. In exchange for your love and support, the guys can put you on the guest list and hook you up with some swag. The band needs folks to help pack The Basement in Northampton, MA this coming weekend, as well as in Burlington on Monday. Don\’t forget Sullivan Hall (NYC) on Nov. 5– we will be announcing a contest next week for this show. We\’ll be back next Thursday with the mini-version of the Turbine Tribune, and the last Thursday of each month with the full-length newsletter (please sign up here to join– you\’ll get some free music for doing it!)

We\’re gonna leave you with a great video from Wormtown Music Festival a few weeks back, in case you missed it. Jimi Hendrix\’s “The Power of Soul”… Turbine style: check it out!

Smother.net

“What’s different and unique is their approach to songwriting, as they songsmith traditional sounds of rock, bluegrass and Americana for a blending that reeks of genius. Turbine is not what you’d immediately expect from the Big Apple but it’s what you’ll now be holding as the standard”

Babysue.com

“Spontaneous and genuine music that comes straight from the soul. Hilliard is lightning fast on electric guitar and Rightmire plays harmonica like he’s running from the law”

Jambase.com

on their 10,000 Lakes Festival Appearance: “A four-piece band from New York that writes in just about every style imaginable”

Americana UK

“Turbine turns up the throttle with some fine harmony vocals and blistering solos”

Jambands.com

“Their music wails, whispers and directs our thoughts to the deeper mysteries of life”

Relix Magazine – “Artists on the Verge”

“Their sound is exhilarating, with flurries of melodic guitars and wailing harp propelling complex improvisations”
